In my career as a mental health counselor, I’ve worked with people with autism, on various positions on the spectrum, and I’ve found they are generally acutely aware of everything in their surroundings, both externally and internally. The problem is they don’t know what to do with that information. There’s just too much of it coming in and not enough time or emotional skill to understand what it all means. The great ballstriker Mo Norman was autistic by all accounts, and I think fits into the above….
